Electrical faults & solution
BATTERY PROBLEM
When power is not supplied to your car either no light on or the car is not starting it might be a battery problem.
BROKEN OR DAMMAGED WIRING
Car electric problems regarding broken or damaged wiring are one of the easiest to repair but most complicated to find.
CAR BULBS
Car bulbs are one of the most common car electric problems. As with every bulb, they have a life-span of their own and are meant to be changed after some time.
CAR HORN
Car horns can also cause car electrical problems although not that often. A car horn problem is both dangerous and annoying.
CRANKING THE ENGINE
Sometimes, your car could have a defective part in the electrical system, which could end up draining out your battery.
ECU (Engine Control Unit)
This is the brain of the whole network and is essentially the computer running your car.
LOOSE SPARK PLUGS
Just like loose screws in wooden furniture, loose spark plugs cause plenty of damage.
LOOSE WIRES & FAULTY FUSE BOXES
When your car’s fuse blows frequently, you know it’s time to replace the fuse box. Loose wires around the fuse box can make the fuse blow.
MALFUNCTIONING ALTERNATOR
Alternator is a generator that oversees providing electric power to your car. At the same time, it recharges the car battery while driving.
SENSORS
If the ECU has been in the car, so have the sensors. Sensors are the “eyes and ears” of the whole system and give the basic input to the ECU.
SHORT CIRCUIT
A short circuit is where electricity will unexpectedly travel in a different path from its normal route, being the wires.
STARTER DOES NOT WORK
A damaged or faulty starter is a part in electrical problem. Like the name suggests, this part of the car is what starts the whole process of running the vehicle.
